At Brighter Hope Wellness Center (BHWC), our clients are our priority. We care deeply about each of our clients and take many steps to ensure that we provide excellent services. In addition to having well-trained staff, we have many safeguards in place to protect the privacy, health, and information of everyone who walks through our doors. Read on to find out exactly how we care for those receiving BHWC services!
We Protect your Health Information
One of the main ways that we show care for our clients is by going to great lengths to protect your health information. We diligently follow HIPAA policies and procedures to keep all private health information safe. HIPAA stands for The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and is a federal law that puts national standards in place to protect health information from being disclosed with one’s knowledge or consent. One way that we uphold the standards of HIPAA is by using secure telehealth platforms. Additionally, the forms that we use are kept in encrypted storage to protect your personal information. To encrypt something means to scramble plain text into a code that hackers and cybercriminals cannot read. By using an encrypted therapy platform, e-mail, and forms, we are able to reduce the likelihood of our clients’ information being intercepted.
We Provide Accessible Services
Another way that we care for our clients is by making our services readily available and accessible. Many of our clients receive our services via teletherapy through a secure telehealth platform. Not only is online therapy effective, but it also has many notable advantages. By offering virtual services, we can bring the therapy to you. This allows us to provide services to a greater number of people without them having to worry about things like having to travel to our office. Fitting teletherapy into your schedule is very convenient and without this option, some may not be able to receive mental health care.
We Protect your Health
For those who do take advantage of our in-person services, we take steps to protect your health and safety. Since we work with vulnerable populations and care about your wellbeing, we go to great lengths to protect you from COVID-19 and other easily transmittable diseases. These steps include only opening our office on certain days of the week, regulating the flow of people coming into the office, wiping down surfaces between clients, and disinfecting our office at the end of each day.
We use a Screening Form
At BHWC, we want to ensure that we are the best fit for all of our clients. One way that we accomplish this is through the use of our screening form. Everyone must fill out this screening form prior to setting up an appointment with us. We take the information that you provide us with and consider it in light of the training, experience, and availability of our clinicians. If we determine that we are not a good fit for you, we will do what we can to provide you with alternative options.
We Care about you Financially
Another way that we show care for our clients is by helping you financially. We accept many different types of insurance and allow you to make payments easily and conveniently online. We accept Medicaid and also do what we can to provide options for those facing financial hardship. This is just another way that we make our services accessible to those in need.
We take our role as mental health care providers seriously and want to bring the best services possible to our clients. These are just some of the many ways that we show care. By taking these steps we have maintained a practice that values you and the quality of care that you receive!
