William Mangana DNP, CRNP, FNP-C – Clinical Intern

William Mangana DNP, CRNP, FNP-C, Clinical Intern 2025-2026

I’m Dr. William Mangana – a nurse practitioner, educator, and student currently pursuing my post-doctoral PMHNP certificate at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. By day, I wear two hats: serving as an Associate Professor while providing primary care with special focus on hypertension and mental health. I’m particularly proud of my work as Co-PI for the RICH 2.0 Collaborative Grant, where my team and I oversee nurse-led clinics throughout the 14 members of our collaborative and create health education programs for underserved communities – you might even catch our biweekly health chats on UMB’s IG Live!

My journey in healthcare has taken me from the ICU at Memorial Hermann Hospital to addiction treatment clinics, where I’ve helped patients managing OUD and SUD. My time in the U.S. Army as a Special Forces Sergeant in Iraq and Afghanistan deeply shaped how I approach both medicine and teaching. These days, I’m combining all these experiences – my clinical work, my military background, and my passion for education – to train the next generation of nurses while continuing to serve my community.

When I’m not seeing patients or teaching, you’ll find me hitting the books again for my PMHNP certification – because in healthcare, the learning never stops! It’s all part of my commitment to providing compassionate, comprehensive care that addresses both physical and mental health needs.

Accepting new clients? Yes.
