I am a Clinical Psychology Practicum Intern practicing and training under the supervision of Dr. Claudia Salter at Brighter Hope Wellness Center.
I am specifically interested in the presentation and treatment of autism, learning disabilities, and behavioral concerns in children. Additionally, I have interests in how various life struggles such as social difficulties, family changes and anxiety appear different for every individual. My current orientation is behavioral, but I would like to better understand cognitive aspects to create an integrated approach as I grow as a clinical psychologist. I see clients of all ages for therapy and assessments.
I received my B.S. in psychology with a minor in human development at University of Maryland, College Park. I am currently a second-year student in the Doctor of Clinical Psychology program at Stevenson University. I also work at my local daycare, Wee Care Best, where I teach foundational skills to young children. I was previously a teaching assistant for a Positive Psychology course for young adults. Working with multiple age groups has helped me understand the importance of individuality in promoting growth. In my free time, I enjoy going for walks outside, reading books, and traveling with my family.
