I am interested in working with children, adolescents, and young adults as I continue to gain further experience in psychological assessments and providing therapy services. My clinical interests include Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, behavioral and emotional concerns, such as anxiety, mood-related difficulties, and grief. I am especially interested in incorporating family dynamics and cultural factors while providing support in managing everyday challenges. I am a clinical psychology practicum intern practicing and training under the supervision of Dr. Claudia Salter.
My current framework is an integrative approach that looks at the whole person. I incorporate multiple approaches to explore how the past has shaped you, to find meaning in the present, and honor your unique background and identity. I completed my undergraduate degree at Bowie State University, earning a B.S. in Psychology, and I am currently a second-year student in the Doctor of Clinical Psychology program at Stevenson University.
I am working at an all-female addiction recovery center, supporting clients as they navigate challenges of substance use and recovery. Previously, I was a Registered Behavioral Technician providing in-home therapy services using ABA techniques for young children and their families. My diverse work experiences have taught me to be empathetic and open-minded with individuals from different backgrounds and age groups. In my free time, I enjoy painting, being in nature, learning new recipes, crocheting, and spending quality time with my family.
